Day
01 La Paz
Upon arrival, we are met and transferred to hotel. Rest of
the morning to rest and adapt to the altitude.
Afternoon tour of the city visiting the Plaza Murillo,
site of the Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the National
Congress building. The tour continues through the city’s
posh residential areas, the open air museum of Tiwanaku.,
a visit to a typical Indian market, and its famous witch Doctor’s
Market ending with a visit to the unique Moon Valley,
a stunning set of geological formations. Overnight at selected
hotel.

02 Huatajata
Early departure for the Lake Titicaca, En route, we will visit
the Tiwanaku Ruins. After driving 1.30 hrs., we get
to Tiwanaku, one of the oldest American cultures (1580 BC
to 1150 AC), considered the cradle of the American man and
one of the most advanced cultures in those days. We visit
the temple of Kalasasaya, the Gate of the Sun, monoliths
Ponce and Fraile, the Akapana pyramid, and the
semi-underground temple. Then, we continue to Huatajata
on the shores of the Lake Titicaca. On arrival,
we will visit the Altiplano museum and the Andean Eco-village.
Meet the Limachi brothers, builders of the RA II and Tigris
of Thor Heyerdal. Night visit to the mystic world of the Kallawayas,
local medicine doctors and fortunetellers, Overnight at
Inca Utama Hotel.(B,L,D)
Day
3 Lake Titicaca
This morning, we cross the Lake by hydrofoil to Copacabana
and visit the famous Cathedral of "Virgin Morena",
Bolivia's most important religious shrine. Then, we sail to
the Sun and Moon Islands, where we visit the Inca Steps
and the water spring fountain (Sun Island), and the
"Iniak Uyu" Sun Virgins Temple (Moon island).
Afternoon return to La Paz. Overnight at selected hotel.

Day
4 Sucre/Potosi
Morning transfer to the airport for flight to Sucre,
the constitutional capital of Bolivia that preserves the essence
of its splendid past. On arrival, previously to start our
way out of the city heading to Potosi, we tour the
beautiful city of Sucre, visiting the Cathedral, the
churches, and cloisters of la Recoleta, San Felipe
and Guadalupe, the House of Liberty, where Simon
Bolivar signed the Declaration of Independence, the Bell
of Freedom and the second oldest University in
South America, founded in 1624. Following after 3 hours of
scenic route through small charming villages, we reach Potosi.

Day
5 Potosi/Sucre
Morning city tour of the famous Potosi. In 1650, Potosi
was the largest city in the Americas with a population of
160,000. It has produced enough silver to build a solid bridge
from Potosi to Madrid as the legend said. Continuing, you
will visit the Cathedral, the church of San Felipe,
the Casa de la Moneda with its wooden machinery used
to make the silver coins. Following, we visit a silver
mine, located at Cerro Rico. Mid-afternoon return
to Sucre. Overnight on selected hotel (B)
Day
6 Sucre
Today, we visit the colorful Sunday Fair in Tarabuco.
Natives from the area come to town to trade and sell their
products. The Market attracts peasants from the region who
are famous for their conquistador style leather helmets and
multicolored hand woven ponchos and chuspas (bags for
carrying coca leaves and money).
After a country style lunch, we continue to the ancient Spanish
"Hacienda Candelaria", where we can see handicraft
elaboration and typical Indian dances of the area.
Return to Sucre. Overnight at selected hotel (B,L)
Day
7 Santa Cruz
Transfer to the airport for flight to Santa Cruz. On
arrival, transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour visiting
the San Lorenzo Basilica and its Sacred Museums, following
with a visit to the zoo, one of the most complete in South
America. Overnight at selected hotel (B)
Day
8 Departure
After an early breakfast transfer to the airport for flight
back to USA.
